WPCasa at WordCamp Europe in Krakow

Recap of WPCasa at WordCamp Europe 2026

What an amazing WordCamp Europe 2026! A heartfelt thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who made it happen.

WordCamp Europe takes place once a year to bring all WordPress enthusiast, developer, designer, service provider, user, businesses and interested parties together. The goal is to share the latest updates on WordPress, to learn and practice in workshops and to connect with the WordPress family.

WordCamp Europe 2026

This year WordCamp Europe took place in Krakow (Poland) from 4-6 of June. The WPCasa team participated again and this time in four different ways:

  1. Sandro Lucifora, WPCasa lead developer, was part of the comms organizer team. The preparation for the conference started way ahead of the actual event and therefore, Sandro was involved since early 2026. He was mainly responsible for the podcast pages, blog posts and also build the WordCamp Europe Community Booth landing page .
  2. Anita Scharfe, manager of WPCasa’s social media presence, also contributed her time as volunteer at WCEU 2026. She helped attendees finding their way around and to make sure that all participants got their WordCamp Europe T-shirt at the swag station.
  3. One of the main reasons for attending such an event is to be up-to-date, learn and extend knowledge. Sandro and Anita participated in workshops, talks and panel discussions to just do exactly that.
  4. The best part of being involved in WCEU is actually that you meet old friends, business partners and future clients during the event. There is also a 100% guaranty that you leave the event with much more contacts than you came with. The community is amazing and very supportive.

WordPress 7.0

We are all excited about the new release of WordPress 7.0 and we don’t want to miss out to mention that WPCasa and its ecosystem is compatible for it. Our team has checked, adjusted and tested all WPCasa plugins and themes to make sure there will be no problem at all with the new WordPress version.

Since it was a big topic at WCEU this year, we got the latest information right there out of first hand, which means we are more than prepared. Usually, we recommend to wait some weeks before updating. This allows time for any unforeseen issues to be identified and resolved by the wider community.

Connecting at WCEU

As mentioned before, WordCamp Europe is one of the best places to build connections and strengthen existing partnerships. This is especially valuable when collaborating with companies whose products complement your own.

For example, WPCasa has long appreciated the work of Polylang. Polylang is (for us) the number one solution to make a real estate website ready for multiple languages. That’s why we were delighted to meet the Polylang team again at their sponsor booth (and discuss ongoing developments within the WordPress ecosystem). If you want to read more about the multilingual features of WPCasa and Polylang please check out this blog post.

Over the years, there has not been a single WordCamp Europe from which WPCasa has returned without new ideas, new partnerships, or exciting collaboration opportunities. Many of these conversations happen not only at the conference venue itself but also during informal meetups, coffee breaks, dinners, and side events throughout the host city.

WCEU Malaga 2027

The next WordCamp Europe in 2027 will take place in Malaga, Spain, and we are already looking forward to attending. Definitely as attendees, but perhaps again as an organizer or volunteer.

If you are planning to be there, we would love to meet you and discuss how WPCasa can help you build a professional and successful real estate website.

We hope to see you in Malaga!
